OxyHealth chambers are Class 2 medical devices, which require a prescription from a licensed physician.

HBOT is the use of prescribed high pressure oxygen to help treat a variety of health conditions and diseases.

What Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?

Each cell in the body needs oxygen to preserve, repair, and enhance cellular function. Breathing 100% oxygen at pressures greater than sea level:

  • Increases the amount of oxygen carried by the blood, enabling the oxygen to be dissolved into the hard-to-reach plasma, lymph, and cerebrospinal fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord, providing a greater opportunity for healing.
  • Stimulates the growth of new blood vessels to locations in the body with reduced circulation
  • Reduces swelling, decreases inflammation, strengthens the immune system, stimulates the release of stem cells.
  • Creates an increase in the body’s antioxidants and free radical scavengers, promoting the ability of the body to fight disease and infection

Energize and restore every cell in your body.

Why do it?

Your body’s tissue needs an adequate supply of oxygen to function. When a trauma occurs, the body requires even more oxygen to repair and heal itself. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases the amount of oxygen dissolved into all of the soft tissue in your body. An increase in oxygen temporarily restores normal levels of blood gases and tissue function to promote healing and fight infection.

The oxygen therapy chamber itself is tube-shaped, has a canvas exterior, and looks something like an over-sized duffel bag.  You will be asked to step inside, lie down, and relax. You are free to read or listen to music during your session, which will last approximately one hour.

The chamber will be sealed shut with a zipper, and pressurization will begin. You may feel fullness in your ears at the start of the session, similar to what you might feel as an airplane lands.  At the end of your session, the chamber will be gradually depressurized.

At the most fundamental level, hyperbaric oxygen therapy promotes the body’s own natural ability to heal. This may mean an injury heals quickly or that damaged tissues and cells are restored to function. For individuals who are seeking performance gains, oxygen therapy delivers oxygen-rich blood throughout the brain and body in order to promote brain health and workout recovery, resulting in greater energy and focus.

Faster Recovery– Because the hyperbaric oxygen chamber provides the athlete with pure, 100 percent oxygen at higher than normal air pressure, the volume of oxygen in the blood is greatly increased. When it comes to recovering after a workout, this increased oxygen promotes the production of ATP and the removal of lactic acid, which causes muscle fatigue.

Faster Decision Making – Increased oxygen in the user’s blood also means an increase of oxygen to the brain, which promotes more efficient brain function. When the brain is functioning at optimal levels, athletes are able to make split-second decisions quickly and correctly. This could make all of the difference when it comes to winning a game or match.

Faster Injury Healing – When you’re an athlete, an injury means being unable to do the one thing you’ve chosen to spend your life doing, and you want to get back in the game as quickly as possible. Through hyperbaric oxygen therapy, athletes can heal much faster. Highly oxygenated blood cells more effectively provide oxygen to those areas that need it the most, promoting shorter healing times.
